Timon was born during the winter of 2001. He is one of triplets, two boys and one girl. Timon emerged from the den weighing approximately 20 pounds. By the end of fall, he weighed about eighty pounds which should be a sufficient fat reserve to survive winter hibernation. If he survives until next winter, he will enter the den with his mother and siblings having more than doubled his weight. |
